Many men suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE). ED is the lack of ability to get and maintain an erection. PE is when a man ejaculates sooner during sex than he or his partner would like. Both can lead to undue stress and relationship difficulties. Both issues can have mutlifactorial causes and the best treatment plans take all these into consideration. At TSPH Men's Wellness, our evaluation and treatments involve all of the following:

Factors that can contribute to ED include: cardiac and vascular disease, obesity, metabolic syndrome, tobacco use, excessive alcohol consumption, low testosterone, certain prescription medications, treatments for prostate cancer or enlarged prostate or surgeries and injuries that affect the pelvic area or spinal cord.
There can be side effects during ED treatment, but they usually don’t last longer than a few hours. These can include headache, facial flushing, and upset stomach. Some medications can briefly cause blurred vision or sensitivity to light. In rare instances some men taking PDE5 inhibitors, reported sudden decrease in vision or loss of hearing. If you experience any of these symptoms, stop taking PDE5 inhibitors and seek medical help immediately.
We do not currently work with insurance carriers, but are able to accept HSA/FSA accounts, have care credit available, always work to keep our costs low and are able to source medications at steep discounts.
The most common biological issues causing premature ejaculation are an overly sensitive penis, low testosterone and weak pelvic muscles. Psychological issues such as anxiety, guilt, depression or stress can also contribute.
PDE5 inhibitors such as sildenafil (Viagra) are popular for erectile dysfunction and while they are useful for maintaining an erection, likely do little to prevent PE.
Many men see results after the first treatment. Most require 3-6 treatments for lasting results, though all men are different and some may require more.
